Seeking the Courage:: Elephants and Monkeys Must Go

Those monkeys on our backs, those elephants in the room no one mentions, it’s time to put them down! Sorry for the cruel animal reference…

There have been so many monkeys and elephants in my life that I need a metaphorical ark just to house them. And I’ve been thinking about all the stress these critters have been causing me. They are the issues, the obstacles, the ‘whatevers’ that seem to make living much more difficult than it needs to be. And you know what, I know that I am not the only one burdened by these critters.

Take a stand against the critters that burden you! What’s the first step? For me, it’ll be writing them down… in a private location. If I ever post my battles against my monkeys and elephants, it will only be to encourage others to do the same.

Stay tuned for further developments in my Elephants and Monkeys Must Go campaign. 🙂

  1. You’re bigger than your burdens, More than your monkeys…..what? Ok well my point is….you’ll rid yourself of them, just keep doing what you’re doing!

  2. Love the metaphor! I have too many elephants myself!
